Anni Townend
Anni Townend is an Executive Coach and Mentor to senior teams and industry leaders, is one half of the team behind Collaboration EquationTM, the creator and host of Leaders in Conversation with Anni Townend, and the owner and proprietor of The Grain Store in Lewes. She brings a holistic, open approach to helping C-Suite executives create work environments in which their teams can flourish through psychological safety, curiosity, and open conversations.
With her 30 years of experience in the field of business psychology, her work with those in leadership roles has expanded across countries and industries and has made her a standout in her field.
The Challenge
Anni came to us in 2023 in need of help boosting the audience for her podcast Leaders in Conversation with Anni Townend and for her associated social media platforms. Her goal was a simple one, to expand her listenership and spread the impact of her carefully crafted leadership conversations to as wide an audience as possible.
As business and coaching are wide fields in the podcasting and social media worlds, and are heavily saturated, we needed to find a way to make Anni Townend stand out as a brand. She made it clear that she was not someone who was overly comfortable or knowledgeable about the marketing of herself or the use of social media as a brand driver, so we had to go to work finding a method and an approach that would work for her and boost her brand with long-term growth in mind.
The Solution
One of the first things we had to look at was the considerable number of brand assets Anni had set up over several years. These included a website, newsletter, blog, social media on numerous platforms, multiple businesses that had tangential relationships to each other, and a podcast. We knew that we needed to streamline these and integrate those that could elevate each other organically and cut the assets that were causing a drag rather than a boost.
The entire process relied on a close collaborative relationship with Anni and her team in order to make this large shift in brand functionality with as little disruption to her current audience and brand advocates as possible. We gave her entire brand, from visuals and copy to social media layout and scheduling, a refresh to add a vibrancy that was more in line with Anni’s personality, ensuring that her brand and their assets were working together seamlessly for Anni.
The Result
Through collaboration and in-depth research, understanding, and application of marketing techniques and solutions in a specific niche, we were able to successfully build not just an elevated and refreshed brand personality for Anni Townend, but we were also able to create a strong working relationship that provided her with a comfortable transition and change so she and her brand can flourish and grow.
