Chef Dom Taylor

Chef Dom Taylor was born to a Jamaican mother & Saint Lucian father. Through his mother & the elder women in the family, he developed a love for cooking from an early age. He learned that food isn’t only for nourishment, but can tell a story, evoke joy & bring people together.

Dom’s passion for cooking has led to continued success, working in numerous restaurants and hotels throughout London, where he’s climbed the ranks to become Head Chef at the prestigious Langham Hotel in London.

TV stardom clearly now beckons for Dom after he most recently appeared on, and won Channel 4’s Five Star Kitchen.

Challenge

Dom approached The Conscious Marketing Group at a pivotal moment in his career. He is a respected and recognised chef and having just filmed Channel 4’s 5 Star Kitchen, wanted to cultivate long-term success. He teamed up with us to develop a powerful brand playbook and refresh – packed with everything Dom stands for – his unique identity, values, and future ambitions – that will that will propel his career to new heights.

Our Approach

We conducted several “Brand Lab” workshops to completely understand Dom’s goals and created a communications framework and tone of voice guidelines that establishes trust with his target audience. In these open and collaborative meetings, we welcome all ideas and perspectives from both sides and involve team members from every aspect of our business – strategy, creative, and content. We wanted to know what he was expecting from our partnership as well as understand what he wanted to achieve with his career. This ensures we achieve consistency across all channels, while maintaining a holistic focus on the client’s needs.

Outcome

The team thoroughly enjoyed working closely with Dom to deliver a brand identity refresh and create his brand playbook to ensure that his new brand identity is aligned with his vision for his business while providing a clear plan for how he will now communicate the Chef Dom Taylor brand to the public and potential future partners.

We used the playbook to elevate his website and bring his personality and new visual style through into the online journey. We launched his new website with reference to Dom as winner of Channel 4’s 5 Star Kitchen the night he won the show! The playbook we have developed for Dom will help him stay on course with his brand communications and goals, make better marketing decisions, and achieve even greater success in the future.
