The Fidget Project is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) founded by Lynne Tarrab-Snooks. Based in Devon, it supports children with Sensory Processing Differences (SPD) through specialist occupational therapy, creative tools, and the UK’s first mobile sensory “Fidget Bus.”
Working closely with families, schools, and healthcare professionals, The Fidget Project is on a mission to build inclusion, understanding, and joy for children who experience the world differently.
The challenge
As a growing community initiative, The Fidget Project needed a clear, engaging brand identity and communications strategy to bring its vision to life. The aim was to raise awareness of SPD, amplify their story, and generate the funding needed to launch the Fidget Bus – a mobile sensory hub reaching children across the South Hams and Education South West Trust.
The Conscious Marketing Group was invited to help crystallise the brand’s identity, build a warm and recognisable visual language, and design an integrated campaign strategy to connect with funders, families, and community partners. They were also tasked with recruiting and onboarding an intern to support marketing and general admin tasks.
What we delivered
Development of a vibrant brand identity including colour palette, typography, and visual assets.
Creation of a tone of voice and messaging framework that balances empathy with credibility.
Design of digital and print templates for social media, email, and fundraising communications.
Campaign concept and storytelling strategy to bring the Fidget Bus to life across media channels.
Creation of a fundraising toolkit with email templates, landing pages, and supporter journey mapping.
Social media and email marketing plan with sample content and volunteer training.
The outcome
Identity
A joyful, inclusive brand identity and campaign platform that captures The Fidget Project’s heart and mission. The refreshed visual and verbal identity gave the team confidence to tell their story more powerfully — inspiring funders, schools, and local supporters to get behind the Fidget Bus launch.
Purpose
The result is a cohesive, community-led brand that raises awareness of SPD, drives engagement across digital channels, and supports sustainable growth for the organisation’s next phase.
